[Feature] 50 v 50 matches

A version of the game which includes only two teams and is a 50 v 50. Objective objects (like the core) are much more durable, and there is a high/no timer.

Depending on the design space the developers are going for this would be awesome. Something more akin to World vs World in Guild Wars 2 but more streamlined.

... or if the questions on the Bartle test hint at anything, maybe this is leading towards an ARPG MMO style game? And this is just the combat? I don't know but 50v50 would be super cool.

Well, it seems like focusing on the 20v20 mode atm is the way to go. While 50v50 and 20v20v20v20v20 sounds fun, it would undoubtedly, like you said, split the player base.

Considering the nature of the game, it needs at least 40 players (20v20) to start one game, which is not easy to gather, thus making the matchmaking time relatively long to the actual play time (15-20mins).

Since the player base is the utmost important aspect of keeping a multiplayer game running, I would advise the developers to direct their resources on perfecting the classic game mode (20v20) first, so that they can at least have something stable and decent (of course the game is good in itself to me as of now) to offer in December 2022.

Feels like my opinion kinda resembles the development of League of Legends, where they garnered a large enough player base with their classic 5v5 mode, then started to implement other game modes like ARAM, Ultra Rapid Fire and Hexakill etc.

Would 100% love to see this added into the game. Maybe even just mix it into the two army map rotations along with a surrender button or no penalty for leaving the match before 15 minutes

50v50 would be very nice, even if majority of players decided to matchmake the other gamemodes, a massive brawl similar to the five armies could be queued as well.

Absolutely would love this, I love the hectic fights we have in the canyon already because it FEELS like there's 50 people, I'd love to see when there's actually 50 people running at each other.

agreed, 5 army is fun but it doesn’t feel like 100 players, and 2 army doesn’t feel “large-scale” either, a 50v50 true battlefield mode will definitely bring this game to the next level of fun and chaos lol

I love the 5-army 100 player game mode, it's the game mode my group of friends queue for. However what usually happens is 2 teams get destroyed right away, whichever 2 teams that get sandwiched first get wiped out at the beginning of the game. So you usually end up with only 1v1 or 3-way anyway. I feel the 3-way games are pretty epic, would actually love to see a 3-army game mode if 50v50 isn't possible.

This would further split the player base. If the reason for small 4 person parties is truely about match making, then larger battles should not be implimented before larger parties sizes are working, with balanced match making.
