[Feature] Role Based Buffs, Nerfs, Tactics, and Rewards
after you have voted on what type of formation you want your team to be give the assault, defenders, and spec ops role based buffs to make it actually matter what role you have otherwise there is no point and people just run off and do whatever.

TheColdHandsIncrease the value gained in combat according to your position on the map
Defenders it would gain more value in combat when close to the Core itself, while less during the front line, More for kill using defenses Siege weapons and construction of defense and destruction of stairs
Attackers it would gain more value in combat when close to the enemy Core, destroying enemy defenses, while less in defense.
Spec Ops would be neutral in terms of position, but gain more for taking Towers, and helping building Siege Weapons -

Kdc34 MergedGive players a benefit to doing whatever role their team was assigned (I.e., defend castle). You can do this by giving a buff to each team related to their specific roles.
For example:
People on tower duty take less time capturing towers.
People on castle duty get more defense when in their castle.
People on attack duty get a small boost in speed, atk, or faster respawn times.
I still like the freedom of doing whatever I want, but at least with this, the job I get matters a little more. -

OlCappyTTV MergedAdd a feature that will prevent the Castle Defense Squad role and the players assigned that role, from moving past (not shooting) the last line of Siege Defense until half the game is done. This will keep squads responsible to play their correct role. Too many players don't play their role correctly, thus allowing the enemy to steam role those who are. Like an invisible barrier?

a129834765 MergedThe only reason to choose one Army Tactic over another, is to change the amount of specific Squad Roles available. From this, Squad Roles only affect the amount of valor gained by an inconsequential amount. Therefore, both Army Tactics and Squad Roles have barely any impact over the game itself and merely affects the personal valor of players by a small amount; which after Valor 5 no longer affects gameplay.
To give importance to both of these features my suggestion is as follows
Army Tactics
- Assault: All players gain Attack Lv1 (~2.5%) in enemy castle
- Balanced: All players gain +10 health
- Defense: All players gain Attack Lv1 (~2.5%) in friendly castle
Squad Roles
- Assault: +5% Demolition
- Spec Ops: +0.3% Speed for 40s after Tower Capture
- Castle Guard: +4.5% Damage from Siege Weapons
Additionally, an 'Ultimate' reward (+2.5% Attack and +10Health) for completing Squad missions will help games feel different as they progress into the late stage. -

Dinkleberg MergedI realize there are bonus points for defending for castle guard and special ops. Perhaps bonus points for building the defenses could be added.
Need to give defenders less points for kills/actions far outside their role. Maybe anything outside of first row of towers. Disincentivizing them doing whatever they please and leaving the keep woefully undefended. I get it's not the finest role as you can spend a lot of time waiting.
Special ops should get bonus points for defending the towers and/or catapults. Bonus points for building them up. -

PainBringer Mergedthere is currently a MAJOR problem with role abandoment. it is costing teams entire games.
currentlly the way squad assignment is set up people are forced into roles they dont want to play like castle gaurd so they ditch it to go fight. there is also the problem of special opps not prioritising capturing towers over fighting which severely inhibits the teams ability to regroup and mount offensives in different areas or rejoin contested areas because special opps is not ensuring that there are topwers availiable to do so.
im suggesting changes to encourage people to play teamwork instead of ditching to go solo.
some of these suggestions include valor gain penalties for role ditching, slight buffs for proximity to squad members, appointing leuitenants in each squad to give orders and co operate with other squads and/or co ordinate with the commander, increased rewards for following commander orders, etc. -

Ari MergedI feel like there needs to be something inplemented to keep people who are assigned to castle guard on their duty. Often times i find myself a lone player in my squad fighting to defend the castle and no one around listening to pings about enemies incoming.
My suggestion is health slowly draining out when you're x distance away from the castle walls as castle guard. Like i get it. Castle guard isnt the most glamorous thing but its inportant and guard needs to stay in the castle -
